Less attention is paid to children of affluent parents who have their own set of problems. Emotional neglect often goes unnoticed or unreported, which may…

Four‑week residential treatment programme

If you choose to stay at our exclusive treatment centre in Zurich, we will welcome you at the airport and accompany you to a beautiful lakefront clinical residence where you will meet the rest of the team. In London, we can meet wherever you would prefer, which may be at the airport, your home or elsewhere. We will then accompany you to your chosen residence to commence the treatment programme.

Deepak Chopra
“Simply with a change of mind you can change your life.”

We complete a comprehensive medical and physical check, including extensive laboratory tests, before starting a range of assessments and tests which include a psychiatric assessment, functional medicine assessment, nutritional and lifestyle assessments.

Based on the results of these assessments, our lead doctors create a detailed treatment plan in collaboration with the rest of the multidisciplinary team that is 100% tailored to your individual situation and needs.

An experienced live-in therapist stays in the same residence during the residential programme and is available for support 24/7.

A limousine and driver will be available for clinical and personal appointments and a private chef will also be available depending on the location and choice of accommodation.

According to the treatment plan, we establish a daily schedule based on the following range of services

Psychiatry and Psychotherapy

During the treatment, a psychiatrist, specialist psychotherapist or psychologist and a live-in therapist will work around the clock to look after your emotional wellbeing.

Medical Services

A functional medicine specialist doctor and GP will work with our team of clinical nurse specialists to restore your physical health. An array of laboratory tests and other medical assessments will identify which issues need to be treated, ranging from chronic pain to asthma, indigestion, sleep apnoea, migraines, cardiovascular issues and many other possible conditions.

Biochemical Restoration

Biochemical restoration adopts a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to illness that focuses on restoring the micronutrients that the body and brain are missing. When people struggle with addiction or mental health issues, they often experience stress, a poor diet and sleep issues. As a result, the essential nutrients that the body needs to function are depleted. With biochemical restoration, we can replenish these nutrients and return your physical health to its optimal state.

Nutrition and Lifestyle Counselling

At Paracelsus Recovery, we recognise that you cannot treat a mental health condition with therapy alone and so lifestyle choices, biology, genetics and diet must all be taken into account. “We are what we eat,” thus we pay careful attention to restoring your physical health and provide nutrition counselling to ensure your dietary needs are met. We also assess current lifestyle choices and make recommendations for changes.

Complementary Therapies

We provide numerous complementary therapies to strengthen your mind-body connection in order to minimise stress levels and restore wellbeing. Our complementary therapies can include but are not limited to, yoga, massage, acupuncture and reflexology.

Five‑Star Luxury

We believe it is important to create an environment that feels comfortable and familiar as you undergo the difficult journey of recovery. Our hospitality team is dedicated to making your stay with us as comfortable as possible. Private luxury accommodation also ensures full discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Our residential treatment programmes normally last four to six weeks depending on your individual needs, with some clients choosing to stay beyond this. We recommend aftercare following residential treatment, the duration of which will depend on each individual’s circumstance.

If you would like to learn more about our residential rehabilitation treatment programmes, please do not hesitate to contact us.

In both Zurich and London, a team of up to 15 therapists, doctors and hospitality staff are focused exclusively on your health and wellbeing.

You are free to choose where you would like to stay. In Zurich, the majority of our clients choose to stay in a lakefront luxury clinical residence or occasionally in a hotel. In London, you can stay in a central London hotel, apartment or at your home (central London only).

We use the same treatment model in Zurich and London, treating one client at a time with a tailor-made treatment programme to suit your specific needs. In Zurich, the majority of the team will see you in your clinical residence. In London, some appointments are arranged in the specialists’ private consultation rooms whilst other members of the team will visit you in your hotel, apartment or at home.

We have an extensive multidisciplinary team working with each client. This includes a psychiatrist, specialist psychotherapist or psychologist, nurses, a live-in therapist, a medical doctor and functional medicine specialist, nutritionist and many more. Also, the hospitality team includes a client relations manager, personal driver, housekeeper and chef. You can learn more about our team here.

At Paracelsus Recovery, we adopt a holistic and harm-reduction approach to addiction. We view addiction as a symptom of a larger issue (or often many larger issues combined) as it is often used as a coping mechanism to deal with unresolved pain, trauma, stress or other difficulties. We will examine all aspects of your life including any underlying issues that may be causing stress, and help you manage these. Harm-reduction means we will never insist that you adhere to a specific treatment ideology. Instead, as the name implies, we aim to reduce the harm that the addiction or mental health condition is causing to your life. Our goal is to help you find happiness and health once more. If happiness means complete sobriety or if it means a more moderate relationship with the substance, that decision remains with you.
