Gemma Bischoff is a UK trained and registered Dietician with over 14 years of experience working in the field of nutrition. She has experience working in a hospital setting, where she regularly guided clients through their individual and sometimes complex dietary needs. She has extensive experience in dealing with many nutrition-related issues, for example, weight management, diabetes, heart disease, food allergies and intolerances, gastro disorders (such as Crohn’s disease, Coeliac disease, IBS), bariatric surgery, oncology and fertility. She has also worked in the private sector for a premium fitness company. Her role involved developing a nutrition department for the European based part of the company and ensuring that the clients had access to the best nutrition support which could ensure that they achieved their fitness and health goals. Gemma has a personal interest in sport and enjoys working closely with our team of fitness experts to maximise a client’s results. Since becoming a mother to twin boys in 2013, she had a new interest in family nutrition. As a result, Gemma went on to start her own website for sharing healthy recipes, as well as being a contributing author to a best-selling baby food book (“Baby Food Universe”). “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food” Hippocrates. Gemma believes that each person should be treated as an individual and focuses on lifestyle as well as any medical conditions when formulating and guiding someone through their own nutrition plan. She can teach practical ways to eat better, through cooking demonstrations, as well as discuss the scientific reasoning behind nutrition recommendations.
