Psychotherapy

Our minds, like our bodies, are constantly attempting to heal. However, in order to do so, we must process and release painful emotions. When we feel trapped in destructive cycles of behavior, our mind is attempting to bring unresolved feelings to the surface. Every time we are confronted with the same pain, our unconscious mind hopes that this time we will be able to process the pain and trauma. However, that is a significant task to undertake on your own.

Clients at Paracelsus Recovery work one-on-one with a dedicated psychotherapist or psychologist. Our experts will assist you in overcoming any underlying trauma, negative thinking patterns, or unresolved issues that may be contributing to your mental health issues or addiction. You will collaborate with a dedicated live-in therapist and psychiatrist, in addition to the psychotherapist, to ensure that you receive the most effective mental health treatment possible.

Our team also includes qualified practitioners who use some of the world's most cutting-edge treatment methods.

At Paracelsus Recovery, the private psychology or psychotherapy treatment begins with an in-depth interdisciplinary assessment. During this period, we will explore the presenting and underlying issues from all perspectives. Working collaboratively, we will create a specialized psychotherapeutic treatment program that addresses your unique set of needs.

This plan will specify how frequently you will receive psychotherapy and consult with your psychiatrist.

The live-in therapist

In most psychotherapy clinics, therapy sessions last for an hour at a time. At Paracelsus Recovery, private psychotherapy consists of one-to-one therapy with a highly skilled psychotherapist and a live-in therapist who will stay or ‘live’ in a self-contained room in your residence or in an adjacent room if you choose to stay in a hotel. The live-in therapist will be available for impromptu support whenever you need it most, whether it's at 2 p.m. or 2 a.m.

All live-in therapists at Paracelsus Recovery are highly experienced and qualified therapists.

The role of the live-in therapist is to provide ongoing empathy and support. We believe that by using these characteristics as the foundation of our treatment model, we can give you a better chance of achieving long-term and positive change in your life. This is because the strength of the therapeutic bond, also known as the therapeutic alliance, is one of the main indicators of successful treatment. We provide the most comprehensive therapeutic alliance possible by making a therapist available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In addition to emotional support, the live-in therapist provides detailed feedback to the psychotherapeutic team on a regular basis. We do this to ensure that you feel supported throughout your stay and to allow us to tailor the treatment program to your specific needs.

In Zurich, the live-in therapist will sleep in a separate self-contained bedroom in the exclusive residence. If a client opts to stay in a hotel, the live-in therapist will stay in an adjacent room.

In London, there is no separate luxury private psychotherapy clinic run by Paracelsus Recovery. Instead, we provide treatment in the comfort of your own home, a hotel, or a central London residence of your choice. Clients can also meet with the psychotherapist and other team members in their private outpatient consulting rooms.

FAQs

Psychotherapeutic techniques come in a variety of forms. However, psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and integrative therapies are the most commonly used. At Paracelsus Recovery, the treatment approach is entirely holistic. We incorporate elements of each approach into our practice.

You and a psychotherapist or psychologist will work together to explore difficult emotions and their associated behaviors during a session. Together, you find ways to approach these emotions and develop healthier coping mechanisms to deal with them.

The treatment team at Paracelsus Recovery consists of a psychiatrist, a specialist psychotherapist or psychologist, and a live-in therapist. The client and their team decide which complementary therapies will be most helpful to their specific needs.

A psychotherapist can assist you in processing unresolved emotions and developing healthy coping mechanisms to deal with life's stresses. Seeing a psychotherapist when we are struggling with our mental health is analogous to seeing a physician or doctor when we are feeling run down. They provide us with the emotional tools we need to improve our quality of life.

In London and Zurich, Paracelsus Recovery can provide private psychotherapy or private psychology treatment. Private psychotherapy sessions in Zurich take place in the privacy of your own home. We offer specialized one-on-one therapy sessions in London, either at the client's home, a hotel, or in the specialist's private consulting room.
